For my senior capstone, I decided to create branding for a hypothetical strawberry bake shop called Rusty's Rubies. This idea came from the strawberries in my home garden and all the desserts we make with them. Rusty is my pet cat who I included as the mascot because he is very animated and adds a playful and personal touch to the brand. ‘Rubies’ comes from the vibrant, red color of the fresh house grown strawberries. Referring to them as ‘rubies’ also emphasizes the high quality of the strawberries. I wanted the brand to have a warm yet playful design targeted to all ages.
