This project is a lyric video collage to the song Dangerous by Set It Off. I wanted to communicate the lyrics in a way that reflected the energy of the song. Rather than creating a static or repeating background and just placing lyrics on top, my goal was to create an engaging video that brings more excitement to lyric videos. I began by creating a storyboard to decide my compositions. I then collected my assets and created all my backgrounds in Adobe Photoshop. Then, I brought everything into Adobe After Affects to animate. I also added the text in After Affects. Additionally, I used videos I found online of the band performing to further portray the high energy of the song. For the video's overall aesthetic, I reflected the band's current aesthetic of grunge, physical collage. I also used a color palette of dark purple, red, and black, colors the band often uses in their brand.
